Weather Resistive Barriers
A weather-resistive barrier is critical to the overall performance of a residential or light commercial wall system because of its capacity to control moisture and air flow, as well as improve energy efficiency. The weather-resistive barrier allows water to drain safely away from the wall system while also allowing water vapor to exit the structure. The Henry portfolio of WRBs contains various options – from self-adhesive to mechanically fastened barriers, to Asphalt Saturated Kraft (ASK) building paper solutions specifically for stucco applications.
Blueskin® VP100
Self-adhered water resistive air barrier membrane. This next generation vapor permeable air barrier picks up where traditional polymeric wraps leave off. Ideal for wood frame construction, Henry® Blueskin® VP100 is a fully adhered, peel-n-stick system that eliminates air leakage while functioning as a water-resistant barrier and rain barrier.
WeatherSmart® Commercial
For tough commercial jobsites, WeatherSmart® Commercial has the right stuff. Developed with advanced building science and proven in the field, it offers extended UV stability and enhanced tear resistance. It withstands surfactants without compromising water hold-out or breathability.
WeatherSmart® Drainable
WeatherSmart® Drainable offers architects, specifiers and builders an advanced drainage solution that actually channels liquid away from the wall assembly at greater than 95% efficiency. This is far better performance than that required by any code in the country, even in Oregon. With a balance of breathability and water protection, WeatherSmart Drainable is well-suited to most climates and exterior claddings.
WeatherSmart®
WeatherSmart® represents a new generation in housewrap technology that delivers the ideal balance between water intrusion protection and moisture vapor breathability; so it can be used in any climate and behind most exterior claddings. The product is a polymeric weather-resistive barrier, utilizing a high-strength nonwoven substrate and a monolithic non-perforated coating of smart polymers. Its unique construction protects against the elements-while being extraordinarily durable and UV stable.
HydroTex™
Two-Ply HydroTex™ combines the proven performance of our Super Jumbo Tex 60 Minute® asphalt-saturated kraft paper with a drainable polymeric housewrap layer – packaged in a single labor-saving roll. Two-Ply Super Jumbo Tex® 60 min
Two-Ply Super Jumbo Tex® 60 Minute is engineered for residential and commercial construction applications that demand the maximum water and moisture protection available. Delivering over fifteen times the minimum water resistance requirement for Grade “D” paper, it is an industrial strength product that stands up in tough jobsite and environmental conditions.
Super Jumbo Tex® 60 min
Super Jumbo Tex® 60 Minute is used in production, custom residential and commercial construction where there is a need for a high performance weather-resistive barrier. The product delivers over six times the water protection of standard Grade “D” paper, while providing optimal breathability, to prevent the potential for moisture condensation within exterior walls. As important, it has the rugged durability necessary to resist tearing and puncturing on the jobsite.
Two-Ply Jumbo Tex®
Two-Ply Jumbo Tex® is engineered for production and custom residential construction applications that require a tough water and moisture barrier that offers outstanding protection. It delivers over ten times the water resistance of regular Grade “D” building paper, while having the durability to endure rugged jobsite conditions.
Jumbo Tex®
Jumbo Tex® addresses the requirements for weather-resistive barriers, while exceeding all standards for Grade “D” Building Paper. An asphalt saturated kraft paper, this cost-effective solution offers solid durability that resists tears and punctures on the jobsite. It provides an effective weather-resistive barrier behind stucco and brick – as well as wood, fiber cement and vinyl siding.
PlyDry®
For code-compliant reliability, PlyDry is reliable tear-resistant housewrap that is very cost-effective. It has a cross-woven polypropylene fabric design, and provides dependable tensile strength to protect the product from weather exposure on jobsites. The UV-resistant polyolefin coating offers 120 days of exposure time.
Window & Door Flashings
Windows, doors and other exterior penetrations are the most vulnerable to moisture intrusion. With self-adhered, fluid applied, mechanically-applied and hybrid flashing options available from Henry, you can build with confidence knowing that we can help prevent moisture intrusion at vulnerable penetrations.
FortiFlash® Butyl
FortiFlash Butyl delivers in the most demanding environments, providing a strong self-sealing barrier to protect windows, doors and through-wall penetrations – as well as nonroofing conditions such as recessed windows, sill pans, pot shelves and parapets. The product’s chemical compatibility with most standard sealants – as well as EPDM and flexible vinyl, makes it the ideal choice on the jobsite.
Moistop E-Z Seal®
Moistop® E-Z Seal is an ultra-high performance self-adhesive flashing that helps produce a perfect finished product. With a strong reinforced polymer membrane coated with a 3 inch self-adhesive strip, Moistop E-Z Seal provides a rock-solid barrier against rain-driven water intrusion – while resisting ripping and tearing in the toughest jobsite conditions.
FortiFlash®
FortiFlash® is engineered to deliver lasting protection against water intrusion in the most demanding environmental conditions. It is the premium self-adhesive waterproof flashing membrane for windows. It is also ideally suited for flashing non-roofing horizontal conditions such as pot shelves, parapets, sill pans and recessed windows. Its strong adhesion makes it a perfect choice for sealing around common through-wall penetrations such as hose bibs, vents, electrical boxes and exterior lights.
Air-Bloc LF® Liquid-Applied Flashing
Henry® Air-Bloc® LF is a moisture cure single-component elastomeric liquid-applied flashing using a highly advanced Silyl-Terminated Polyether (STPE) polymer. It is designed to cure through reaction with airborne moisture to provide a heavy-duty, seamless, rubber-like impervious membrane with excellent weathering and water resistance.
FortiFlex® Butyl
FortiFlex Butyl is constructed from a technically advanced hybrid butyl compound and a high-performance creped film that features exceptional stretch and durability. FortiFlex Butyl can be stretched around tight arcs, including arched windows, irregular penetrations and sill pans. It adheres tenaciously to most common construction materials, including plywood, OSB, aluminum, rigid vinyl, gypsum board, primed steel, concrete and concrete block.
Moistop neXT®
Moistop neXT is an ultra-high performance, mechanically attached flashing solution developed with and for builders who need a product that can withstand these extreme weather conditions. Comprised of two layers of high performance polyolefin film, laminated with a remarkably durable core of fiberglass scrim reinforcement, the product retains its shape in heavy winds – resisting the shear forces that cause rips and tears.
Moistop® PF
Moistop PF® is the solution of choice when building requirements call for a mechanically-attached flashing product that is unaffected by substrates or job site conditions. Manufactured from a multi-layer composite employing heavy-duty polypropylene woven fabric, and coated on both sides with ultraviolet-resistant polypropylene, the product resists cracking and curling – both before and after installation.
Moistop® Corner Shield
Moistop® Corner Shield integrates into the wall system to create a seamless barrier in the most vulnerable section of the window installation, the corners. Less costly than sill pans and more user friendly than rigid pieces, Moistop Corner Shield has the flexibility to conform to framing and provide solid protection.
FortiSeal®
FortiSeal is a pre-sized flexible flashing designed to flash pipe penetrations in weather resistive barriers. Manufactured from a high-strength, high-stretch polyolefin to fit a wide range of pipe diameters, it comes in 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1 1/2″ and 2″ sizes.
