BMD started life in Northern California in 1943, and continues to be the home of BMD, based out of our headquarters in Galt, CA. Our Northern California service region is supported by distribution facilities in Galt and Eureka, both of which are lead by experienced sales, customer service, marketing, and operational support teams.

For the past 30 years, BMD has been a significant presence in Southern California. Through our distribution facility in Riverside, CA, our experienced sales and operations team has provided the products and support needed by professional builders to successfully complete their projects on-time and on-budget.

In 1982, we entered into what is now our East service region, quickly becoming leaders in building products distribution for North Carolina, South Carolina, and the surrounding areas, working out of our facility in Dunn, NC. In 2015, BMD acquired Interstate Distributors, further enhancing our ability to provide builders in this region with the highest quality products and materials from our leading brands.

BMD is a nationwide building products distributor. In order to better serve the needs of professional builders across our country, our facilities in Galt, Riverside and Eureka, CA, in addition to the shipping and storage centers in Denver, CO and Memphis, TN, manage orders for our national customers. Our sales team is knowledgeable in the vast array of brands and products requested by builders across the country, and our supply chain allows us to offer lead times for product orders and delivery which are unmatched in our industry.
