Galt, CA (December 28, 2007) – Building Material Distributors, Inc (BMD) is proud to announce the addition of AZEK® Deck, MoistureShield® Composite Decking and Headcote® stainless steel deck screws to their catalog of quality decking products.
AZEK® Deck is the next generation of decking that will transform your very notion of building a deck. Made of cellular PVC, AZEK is engineered with proprietary Procell™ Technology and gives customers an alternative to wood and composite decking. AZEK® Decks require little maintenance to retain their beauty and are mold, stain and scratch resistant. After installation, AZEK Deck resists damage from everyday things like lawn furniture, dog claws and general traffic wear patterns. AZEK® Deck has the workability, look, feel and sound of wood, but offers a long lasting color option.
MoistureShield® composite decking's patented technology introduces a composite that is precision manufactured, field proven, time tested for unsurpassed performance and reliability and is a green alternative to decking. MoistureShield® is a high quality, long-lasting premium decking material produced with a minimum of 30% post consumer recycled content and 60% post industrial (pre consumer) recycled content. MoistureShield exceeds the requirements for landscape decking published in the LEED for Homes standard (v. 1.72). This makes MoistureShield one of the greenest composite decking materials on the market today.
HEADCOTE® stainless steel deck screws with color coated heads are designed to blend with all types of decking, including ipe, cedar, treated lumber and composites. With 16 colors to choose from, HEADCOTE® blends well with the wide range of deck board colors available in today's newest composite decking.
